Bangalore witnessed a remarkable participation of all segments of people at the marathon held for the rehabilitation of Uttarakhand landslide victims.

The marathon started from Freedom Park at 6.00 AM for 10 k run and 6:30 for 5 k run. The goal of the marathon was to raise funds and awareness to help people who have been hit by the natural disaster and to assist them in rebuilding their lives, according to a Snap Fitness India statement.

All funds raised by the marathon will be passed on to those in need in the form of donations through an NGO. The marathon will not only sensitise local residents about their community and help to raise funds for a charitable organisation, but will also promote awareness for good health and fitness at the same time, noted the statement.
Srileka Reddy, Co-Founder-Director Marketing Snap Fitness India said: “Snap Fitness conducts marathons every year with huge success and enthusiastic participation from all our members but this year we decided that we would all run for a Cause. Being one of the prominent players in the fitness industry, we would like to contribute in the best way we can, by holding a fitness event and contributing all proceeds for rehabilitation of Uttarakhand landslide victims. We are honoured that the people of Bengaluru were present in huge numbers to support this cause".
